After waking up the next day, Marlin and Moose Man were ready to see what all they had caught with the nets. To say the tide was out was a bit of an understatement.
It's a surprisingly daunting task - trying to get the crabs out of the net without damaging the net or the crabs. They had a penchant for ripping off their claws to get away, sort of like a coyote gnawing its own foot off. Or perhaps they just weren't sturdy enough. Whatever the case, it did make it easier to cook them. (I know, I know, it sounds barbaric.)

Someone is trying to ex-cape!

Didn't move fast enough - back to the bucket you go!

A very proud Moose Man with his giant Samoan crab - truly the catch du jour.

All hail The Crab King!

Something else that we realized that morning - the vog had lifted!
A cruise ship goes zooming by.

We could see across the strait to Lanai - a small teardrop-shaped island. It's about fifteen square miles and used to be one giant pineapple plantation.

Please note the strata of colors as the tide is coming in - quite beautiful, really.

Such a gorgeous and spiritual place, Molokai.
